America Dreaming: The Royal Academy Lates

We were asked to be part of the Royal Academy Lates Exhibition opening night "America Dreaming" which featured painting in the 1930's America. The RA Lates are opening nights in a party atmosphere to set the tone of the exhibitions and are very beautiful with people dressing appropriately.

So we put on a Vintage Fashion Exhibition which featured period couture, Vogue and Queen magazines, and original fashion illustration from the 1930's to the 1950s. We also had a dressing rail where people could dress as if they were in a rehearsal for a 1930's movie and even had professional actresses provided by the RA to host as part of the ambience. It was sensational! We also had a sales area and we were very busy.

As well as original vintage items my 1930's inspired Orry Kelly capes sold well.

After the event there was a big party in the bar area with dancing with the Benoit Viellefon Orchestra

Was nice to be given the opportunity by the Royal Academy to do something like this and our role was a very popular attraction!

We can do vintage parties on request for you too! We need you to have a guaranteed spend to make it worthwhile obviously. But we can sometimes be available from as little as £1500 redeemable against your purchases, It can be in your home or a private or corporate function room etc. Drop us a line. If we are good enough for the Royal Academy then be assured we can add a wonderful ambience to your vintage event.
