Vintage Anjac Los Angeles 1950s silver & black striped dress very full circle skirt velvet trim wing collar Dior New Lock Rockabilly

Well there is some fabric in this full circle dress! And lively it is too a shimmering silver and black stripe, with the look of a shirt dress but actually it's a metal side zip. The dress dates from the 1950s and when I put it on, I was "shaking so much" as it's just wonderful! Moves so beautifully when you dance!

Would be wonderful to wear to Goodwood Revival it's very comfortable, and if you don't buy it then I probably shall !

It has a lovely wing collar trimmed with velvet, and the length and fullness of the skirt means it has a Dior New Look feel, though the shirt style front suggests later 50s,

It is by Anjack Los Angeles. The name comes from a combo of the names of founder Jack Needleman and his wife Annette. Their dresses combined comfort and ease of wearing with couture like look. Such a success the dresses were that soon he was able to move into both real-estate especially in the garment district of the City of Angels Los Angeles,  and also philanthropy for the city with focus on preserving special buildings such as the Orpheum theatre. The real estate business now after Jack's passing in 1999 is managed by his family and still bears the name Anjac Fashion Buildings.

It's a UK size 10
