This is so luxurious a jacket.
 
Bactrian camel hair was very expensive luxury. Herdsmen had collectors to walk behind the train collecting their hair and through combing. Mixed wih pure new wool it is soft, luxurious and yet sturdy construction. The collar is of thick soft & glossy fawn coloured  mouton (sheepskin) fur. Ankole horn buttons. Half belt at the back. Just a truly beautiful garment.
 
We need to return as a society to these standards of workmanship & genuine sustainability of raw materials, and at the same time enjoy its pure luxury.
 
This is the polar opposite of fast fashion, and it is immaculate despite it being already almost 60 years old. While it could be worn for an authentic 1960s vintage 'Jackie O' look with say a fawn leather mini or pencil skirt , neutral short shift dress, or ski pants, it is also perfect for a contemporary look such as with thigh boots as worn in the pics. Has a kind of Max Mara neutral luxury look to it.
