This is a really beautiful substantial faille grossgrain or Bengaline (fine cord weave) silk mix fabric dress with decorative heavy quality silk velvet half bow loop and train detail from Gigi Young, the Suzy Perette sister label. It has built in underskirt netting to give it a stiff flare,
though can be worn with petticoats to add bulk.

Amazing to think that when this dress was made and first worn, Bettie Page was being cruel spanking and wielding the whip , and preachers you'd have been a bit careful of after Robert Mitchum in 'Night of the Hunter' ! It's still here and still fabulous!
