Such a beautiful coat, exquisitely made as you'd expect from the House of Max Mara probably late 1990s early 00's, this was clearly inspired by the age of the flapper, the 1920s; with its funnel neck in soft luxurious mouton (sheepskin) fur, and main body in a stunning soft textured virgin wool tweed, slouch style with droop half belt at the back.  But when open & collars back, it has a 1950s style - it's a very special coat! Further details are the ankole horn buttons, again a nod to the 1920s when they were standard on the elegant but sturdy coats designed to keep the modern millie warm for outdoor events, aviation and motor racing and other such Throughly Modern MIllie pursuits
 
A size UK 14, if this was my size I'd never part with it and am tempted to keep it anyway.
