Wool jacket by Aubrey Segal, prestigious London fashion brand of the 1950s and 1960s: one of their 'Model' pieces. This has some elements of the later 50s, and the jacket isn't fully 'boxy' it has some fit; really unusual tailoring. So we think it very early 1960s. Would look great with kitten heels and just below knee pencil skirt & kitten heels, but it is wearable for everyday with long boots and jeans, for a very cool style statement. the two button waist fastening is gorgeous.
Could also look very Mod or Beatnik, or sophisticated a la Jackie O so very versatile
The cowl collar is mouton sheepskin, two tone, withan offset pom fastening in same. The main fabric has a slightly boucle texture. The wool is slightly coarse but very warm and sturdy.
