AKRIS are the only Swiss Haute Couture house, and their garments are associated with high end luxury fabrics and classic cut.
This is truly beautiful and a little large for me or it would be a keeper...it is so comfortable and effortless to wear so unbelievably soft
a twill the wool feels like silk. The fur trim is a sheared angora rabbit, on cuffs and front. It fastens with a hidden line of tortoiseshell/horn effect buttons inside
so the fur comes edge to edge.
It has a very early 1960s feel to it, but I suspect its 1990s. The pencil skirt is sleek and tailored without being too tight a wiggle, but not A line.
I can't tell you what an absolute pleasure it is to wear and it just states 'class'. So elegant.
The fabric is a twill point but it's the softest I have ever felt with a slight sheen to it. The colours are taupe, and ivory so looks beige/taupe in effect so ideal if your
wardrobe accessories are neutrals or browns. It's a UK 10 but a large 8 or small 12 may get away with it; it's a 29 inch waist so you be the
Jacket: shoulder to shoulder 15 1/4 inches (38.5cm). Length down back 22 3/4 inches (57cm). Skirt: Waist side to side 14 inches (35.5cm). Length 25 inches (63cm)
In excellent vintage condition like new.
Ideal for ladies that lunch, mother of the bride does Anna Wintour attitude, an important business meeting, or for absolute comfort at a vintage event.
I really feel like the editor of a Fashion magazine c1960 in this!
