Label says Yakouboff Rue St. Honore Paris, for a Glasgow's House of Fraser McDonalds on Buchanan st who traded from 1913 until 1966, and were renowned in Scotland for their quality Parisienne sourced fashions.
Immaculate condition in an unusual & sturdy weave of wool & linen so doesn't crease like normal linen. The glove 3/4 length sleeves look fabulous with a pair of elbow length leather gloves, it's a definite 1950s suit but the slight a line of the skirt would mean you could get away with it for a forties event. Semi fitted cut but roomy, the jacket and a line/pencil skirt combo is a must for the femme fatale.
